The quests in the Thousand Needles are to some extent lacking in challenge. As a whole, they are easy to deal with except the guild. However, the Thousand Needles is your main frontier when you are leveling from 26 to 30.
If bored, you can kill the Centaur kite between levels 26 to 28. Then you can have your way to the Stranglethorn Vale at post-30 level after you have done all the quests. Additionally, I am not in favor of the way to Shadowfang.

If unfortunately, you have been killed by someone, you should be caution to not to keep the corpse. The horde alliances in the Stranglethorn Vale will help you keep your quests. They are totally 3 NPC. Do the quests there and you will probably upgrade to level 34. During this period, you will get some quests with some books which are helpful in fulfilling the other quests. The Bloodscalp quest will help you level to 34 if you haven't fulfilled all the quests above.
At level 34 to 38, I recommend one excellent place for leveling, the Shimmering Flats, which boasts of a lot simple quests. Except the quest which requires your departure from the Shimmering Flats, you can fulfill all the remaining quests inside it. There is a part in the Shimmering Flats for lizard, where will be your perfect place for your leveling since all the lizards are sluggish in operation and cooperation, together with much experience.
The quests in the Stranglethorn Vale can bring you to 40th level as long as you pocket all the quests.
When you are at level 40, there will be some changes in leveling, which mean you can not stay in one map for a long time. Till now, you should upgrade your first aid, to 300 as the upper limit. Go on to buy in the horse, and complete the Windfury Totem quest. Just this quest will provide you BUFF lasting for almost one hour.
I recommend players to do the following quests in the Philaster, to some extent you will be assigned to catch the soul of Wildkin. Before you do the quests in the Philaster, you should go ahead to the Hinterlands and fetch some quests to Philaster. Now you can go on your quests in the Philaster. The period here can be rated as the most difficult and laborious time since the quests in Philaster and Hinterlands are huge and hard to handle. What's more, the quests will be added with the series ones in the Gadgetzan. Three big maps, plus to two different mainland, which requires more than energy and swiftness.
